Table tennis for seniors and older adults

Table tennis is popular with older players. It is played indoors on a small court, the ball is light, and rallies can be gentle or fast depending on who you play.

Where to play near you

Several programs in our directory are built for older adults. Some city senior centers run table tennis for ages 50 and over, often with reservations. Some retirement communities have their own rooms, usually for residents. Full-time clubs also welcome seniors and some offer lower senior memberships. Browse the club directory and look for the "Ages 50+" and "Residents only" tags.

Age-group events

USA Table Tennis tournaments include events for age groups well beyond 50, so you play people your own age. See our guide to ratings and tournaments.
